My biggest regret was letting you play apart of my life when you never earned it
My biggest regret was letting you play apart of my life when you never earned it
I am a proud 24 year old black woman who reads books such as “Roots” and “The Warmth of Other Suns” and get a strong feeling of pride. Those were tough times for my people but they fought hard for the rights that blacks nowadays take for granted. Honestly some blacks today are the sorriest excuse of blacks ever. If slaves or people from the infamous Black Panther see what they fought so hard for they would be ashamed to have us as their legacy. We are stated in both books to be proud people that date back as far as Africa and somehow down the line we forgot that. Instead of fighting the man we fight each other over stupid “blocks”. We use words that were meant to tear us down and use them on each other. We justify using the word nigga as a term of endearment when in reality it’s not. We should be ashamed at what we have become but instead, we hold false pride because we elected a black man into office. My question to the blacks is yes we have elected him but when will a black person hold down that position again? There is nothing for us to be proud about when there are black men in jail everyday not because the white men put them there but because they put themselves there. We complain about the violence of police officers towards our men or youth. How about instead of complaining about that you stop fucking up your life and become a part of the system. Be the change instead of sitting on your hands waiting for the change. No it’s not cute for your pants to sag and treat your black queens like shit. This is what I like to call a wake up for the ignorant blacks. Stop your bitching and DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR YOUR HOOD. Stop peddling drugs into your community instead pick up a damn book. Stop crying about how badly the government is treating our people and become a part of the government. Stop being sorry for yourselves when there’s no reason to be. Take care of your children instead of having grandmothers raise them. Educate the youth so that they stand a fighting chance in the future. Black women stop being stupid and supporting those men who is destined to not fuck up not only their lives but yours as well. If your sitting there supporting a man behind bars know that there will be no shoulders to lean on over this way. That man is doing a bid but no one is telling you to do it with him. Know your worth ladies and it damn sure ain’t holding down a man who sees his life as something to throw away! Value yourself LOVE yourselves Black men take care of your kids. Work hard for your families. You may not agree with the woman you had a child by but don’t let that child suffer because you laid down with the wrong woman. Show your son that daddy is a man not by picking up a gun but, by picking up a job and working hard for yours. Stop being a stereotype and be the exception! Black people open your eyes there is no “man” holding you down only us. Make our neighborhoods like they were before. Like the “Black Wall Street” own your own businesses, plant your seeds for the future. Stop depending on hand outs to make it by and make it on your own sweat and tears. Its hard work but, at the end of the day its YOURS! And no one can take it from you. Make your children proud of you. Like im proud of my mother for working hard for hers. Make your future as bright as it can be and we will in the words of Martin Luther King Jr. “We will make it to the promise land”.
Sincerely
A fed the hell up Black Woman

Life is for having fun. Don’t be stupid and waste it on some guy/girl who is gonna act like he/she hates you tomorrow. Never waste it on some one who doesn’t want their friends to know they’re in love with you. Don’t give that person the rest of you tears or a month or a year of your life when he/she treats you badly and doesn’t mind to make you cry. Every person deserves some one who wants to brag about them. Every person deserves some one who makes them smile and laugh at their worst moments. We all deserve at least that.
